Foodie Hot Spots

You’ll want to unfasten a button or two on the Route des Saveurs flavour trail. Here, the blueberries go straight into pies, the chocolate tastes just heavenly, and the cheese goes squeak. It’s all music to the ears as you fill up on Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

  • Microbrasserie du Lac Saint-Jean
This pub and its terrace are your place in the sun for the summer. Craft beer fans are going to love the wide selection of bottled beer and 16 different brews on tap. If you’re hungry, you can’t go wrong with the bistro-style menu inspired by local products. There are lots of dishes to share, like grilled meats and generous cheese and charcuterie platters, but the real mouth-watering choices here are the beer and food pairings. Everything looks great, tastes great, and it’s been a great place to be for a few years now. Keep an eye on the calendar to see what shows are coming up for their 10th anniversary celebrations.

  • Fromagerie-boulangerie Médard
A visit to Saint-Gédéon is never complete without a trip to the Fromagerie-boulangerie Médard, known for its breakfasts and delicious cheeses. In August, join us at the Fête de la Bière in Parc Saint-Antoine.

  • Auberge des 21
To tickle your senses and spirit of discovery, the fjord is straight ahead.
