The Centre national d’exposition perform functions, essentially, of:
- cultural action
Its mandate is to promote and enhance exhibitions, events and activities on traditional, modern and contemporary art as well as history and science.
The programming offers a rich and diversified selection that ensures that the CNE remains a must for the visual arts community in the Saguenay and on the Quebec scene. Each year, it includes some fifteen exhibitions of the most varied kinds, special projects and several cultural mediation activities that promote the discovery of visual art. Whether it is through bilingual guided tours, family or social activities or through the Croque-nature Croque-culture country meals every Thursday of the summer season, everything is there to satisfy our visitors.
In addition, the CNE is located on Mount Jacob, in the heart of a unique natural environment that offers a breathtaking view of the borough of Jonquière. You can therefore combine cultural and outdoor activities in the same day.
And it's free at all times!
