Fine Stone Polishing Initiation Class
Choose your stone from our wide variety of gemstones and make your own jewelry from the raw material. Silver(.925) bails and chains available to match your jewelry.

Visit this workshop museum and witness the metamorphosis of glass and stone, one processed hot, the other, cold. Watch as artist-glassmaker Giuseppe Benedetto manipulates his extender to produce vases, lamps, fishes, ornaments, and colourful sculptures. The stones (granite, agate, wollastonite, hypersthene and labradorite) are turned into jewellery, sculptures and original works in front of your very eyes. Try your hand at some of the glassblowing, stone polishing and stone setting steps.
Schedule: Demonstration: June 26 to August 22, Thursday to Saturday; rest of the year upon reservation.

Discover the history of the Notre-Dame du Bon-Conseil Sisters and their founder, Françoise Simard. Visit the permanent exhibit and see how these women, through their role in education, contributed to shaping the 20th Century in the Saguenay–Lac-St-Jean region. Moreover, thechapel and the grave of the founder will surround you with a contemplative atmosphere of silence and peace. You will be delighted by this site, which offers a magnificent panorama close to centre town. Guided tours depending on availability and interpretative signs (French).

Go along with Flo in a fabulous adventure that takes place at the centre of a unique world of excessiveness in Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean. With a sometimes funny, moving, but always charming Flo, discover the principal events that marked the last four centuries. Over 200 actors put on sublime costumes on stage and, for two full hours, carry you away into an astonishing universe. A show that cannot be ignored and will be enjoyed by the whole family.

The art workshop Touverre prompts 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 May in the event Fous de la Science Festival sponsored by the Musée du Fjord. For the occasion, Touverre opens his workshop to the public in order to popularize the work of glass and stone, and you initiate the wonderful world of minerals.
