In 1600, Pierre Chauvin set up the first fur-trading post in Canada. Today, a reconstruction of the post gives you an insight into early commercial relations between First-Nation and European peoples; see the documentaries and exhibits. Guided tours depending on availability or upon request, and interpretative signs (bilingual).

Schedule: May: groups upon reservation. May 29 to June 18 and September 6 to October 10, every day, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm; June 19 to September 5, every day, 9:30 am to 7:00 pm. Groups upon reservation.

Admission: Ask at reception office. Group rates available (20 +).
