Museums & Interpretation centers
Rivière-Éternité, also called Village de crèches, presents a yearly international exhibition of about 250 nativity scenes. This year, more than 100 new nativity scenes and a bust of Saint-Frère André. The collection comprises unique works by Québec artists and artisans, which reflect our culture, as well as the works of artists from 60 countries. Admire the scenes at each end of the village and one in centre town with its nine bas-reliefs, perched on the mountain and accessible via a short, easy path, as well as twenty life-size works located in the Parc municipal des Artistes. In winter, 100 illuminated nativity scenes are set in front of homes. Guided tours upon availability and interpretative signs (French).
Schedule: July 2 to September 4, every day, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; December 4 to January 8, 2012, every day, 10:30 am to 5:30 pm; December 25 to January 1, 2012, 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Groups (15 +) upon reservation year-round.
Admission: Adults: $5, children (6-11): $2, children under 6: Free. Group rates available (15 +).
Average visit length: 1½ hours.
