Les incontournables
National Parks

Parc national de la Pointe-Taillon offers exceptional access to Lake Saint-Jean and the Péribonka River. Visitors will be charmed by the many shades of the long sandy shores. This territory can be discovered by cycling or walking along the 45 km trail network that follows the shores of the 92 km2 peninsula, or sea kayaking. A 15 km section of Véloroute des Bleuets meanders around the park, one of the most beautiful areas of the cycling network. The ultimate experience consists in staying in one of five primitive campgrounds near Lake Saint-Jean (cycle-camping or “Ready-to-camp” packages) and the Péribonka River. A permanent exhibit and educational activities will give you an opportunity to find out more about the fauna, flora, and the history of Pointe-Taillon. The protected territory teems with birds, beavers, and moose. The vast peat bog will stir your interest with its surprising flora. On the agenda: Nature observation and discovery, beach with lifeguard, water sports, cycling, hiking, and primitive campgrounds. Services include a snack-bar with dining room and outdoor tables, bike rentals and repairs, boat rentals, and the Boutique Nature.
