In a range of activities, a made-to-measure New France experience! Guided tours: Enjoy a trip to New France with the inhabitants of the colony. Follow your guide and meet interesting characters while visiting the four sets recreating 17th Century Québec City. This outdoor museum features colourful characters, experienced guides and archaeologists. Equestrian show: Enjoy the exciting Cabrioles equestrian show as a family and witness the spectacular and unique relationship between man and horse; a professional production where international artists dazzle you with aerobatic horseback tricks, trapeze, aerial silks, juggling and dressage. Taste New France: A choice of three daily menus is offered at Le Dixseptième restaurant, featuring home cooking. The Musée du Fjord is a fun and dynamic place where you can plunge into the fantastic world of the Saguenay Fjord and Baie des Ha! Ha! The completely renewed Fjord-science exhibition space will captivate you with touch pools and a giant aquarium representing fantastic Fjord ecosystems. The Museum is sciencefriendly, fun and an interactive way to get in touch with fascinating organisms. Explore the twists and turns of regional history with the Jarnigoine exhibition, a varied programme with screenings plus exciting tours and exhibits. In summer, explore the historic neighbourhood surrounding the Museum or step into a pair of scientific boots and find natural treasures on the banks of the bay. Come and try the Olivier experience at the Quebec soap workshop museum! A charming soap-making shop, the welcoming staff invite you to experience the amazing world of scents and bubbles in a warm atmosphere! Olivier soap is a home-crafted product made daily on the premises with carefully selected natural ingredients. Demonstrations upon reservation, interpretation centre, and shop. Guided tours depending on availability (bilingual) and interpretative signs (French).

Visit this workshop museum and witness the metamorphosis of glass and stone, one processed hot, the other, cold. Watch as artist-glassmaker Giuseppe Benedetto manipulates his extender to produce vases, lamps, fishes, ornaments, and colourful sculptures. The stones (granite, agate, wollastonite, hypersthene and labradorite) are turned into jewellery, sculptures and original works in front of your very eyes. Try your hand at some of the glassblowing, stone polishing and stone setting steps.

La Pulperie de Chicoutimi regional museum, located in the heart of the city and open year-round, is a vast cultural and tourist entertainment complex dedicated to the promotion and preservation of regional heritage, as well as the presentation of art works. In addition to being a museum, La Pulperie de Chicoutimi constitutes a major historical site in the region due to its century of history. The museum repository holds more than 26,000 pieces and works of art. New this year: The permanent exhibition Shoulders to the Wheel, presented with the most advanced technology including visual guides with Quebec Sign Language (LSQ). You can also walk along the completely renewed interpretative circuit using the audio guides. Come and visit the famous house of painter Arthur Villeneuve and discover his universe! The temporary exhibitions featuring a great variety of exciting themes will fascinate you. The CIAR presents the rich heritage and knowhow of a community that developed one step at a time. It is an enchanting site, a huge collection of objects, and a range of unique activities. The Champs du pays exhibition shows you how agriculture has left a deep mark on the landscape. The presentation of this temporary exhibition commemorates of the Sainte-Croix Parish (1911-2011). Petting farm, original 1868 settlers’ camp, vegetation maze (August), educational garden, orchard, berries, local shop, picnic areas.
